3 Cups Drawing

4 Basics of Composition

- Orientation of paper

- Spacing

- Height of the Bases

- Proportion

Still Life

I used a variety of shading and experimented with drawing unique objects.

One Point Perspective

I chose this image because drawing the buildings would be a challenge and I wanted to challenge myself. I think I did good on the repetition of the buildings and shading them into the water. I think I also did good on the value scale although I could bring in some darker shades. Something I would change is the shading. Get rid of those visible lines. Something I learned was more about shadows and where to shade darker and where to shade lighter.

Body Proportions

I learned the human figure is about 8 heads tall. I also learned a lot about placement of body parts and how big or small to make them.

Self Portrait

Self portraits is something artist do every year. They do it because it helps them stay in check with changes and helps them identify their proportions. Drawing a self portrait was fun and interesting. It was cool to draw myself and my proportions even though in the end it didn't really look like me. Something I liked was my neck and my eyes. I think I shaped my eyes well and they looked somewhat like mine. I liked my neck because I brought in different values. Something I could work on is bringing more value in the headband to show people it's a headband and bringing more value in my face overall.

2 Point Perspective

I chose to draw the corner of a building for my 2 point perspective drawing. The most difficult thing for me was the shading as always. It's hard for me to variate my shadings. Something I found easy was drawing the buildings. Paying attention in class pays off because it's easy for me to draw 2 point perspective buildings. I had fun drawing and shading the brick which is something I think I did good on, the brick. If I could go back and change something, it would be the way I shaded some of the buildings and the background.

Grey Scale Drawing

I drew a flower for my grey scale drawing. I started off by drawing an eye but found that too difficult so I switched. One thing I like is the way it looks from afar (when you get close, it looks a little rough). If I could go back and change something, I would focus more on keeping the grey in there.

Choice Drawing

For the choice drawing I decided to draw Chip from 'Beauty And The Beast". I thought it'd be a fun draw and I could somehow turn it into a realistic version of Chip. My favorite part about the drawing is how similar Chip actually looks to the CGI version. If I could go back and do something else, I would at least try to make it look a little bit more realistic.
